BellHawk Online Real-Time Operations Tracking System (RT-OPS)

Operations Tracking

The BellHawk Online Real-Time Operations Tracking System (RT-OPS) tracks the receipt and put-away of raw materials, their transformation into intermediate and finished products through a sequence of operations, as well as the packing and shipping of the finished products to customers.

RT-OPS integrates the capabilities of the BellHawk Online Simple Production Tracking System (SPTS) and the License-Plate Materials Tracking System (LP-MTS) plus adds the ability to track the materials consumed and produced on each work order operation as well as tracking work-in-process materials.

RT-OPS includes the ability to specify Bills of Materials (BOMs), recipes, or formulas for each intermediate and finished product and then use these to generate work orders to make a specified quantity of each product.

The Work Order BOMs, generated from the stored product BOMs, are then used to warn users if they are about to use the wrong materials for a job.

RT-OPS is an affordable and easy-to-use solution for those organizations that wish to track the flow of materials through their manufacturing operations. RT-OPS can also track the cost of making products by incrementally adding up all the raw materials and labor time required for each operaation.

RT-OPS is capable of tracking much more complex manufacturing operations than a simple SPTS system, which simply tracks batches of material through operations. RT-OPS can track work-in-process materials flow from one operation to another, split batches, scrap and rework as well as to track both labor and materials costs in making products.

RT-OPS can also track the manufacture of complex products, made from many components and sub-assemblies. Please click on this link to see the Technical Note on the Manufacture of Complex Assemblies.

Where the capabilities of a full Manufacturing Execution System (MES), with warehouse management, scheduling, and materials planning are required then the use of the BellHawk Online Manufacturing Execution System (MES) is recommended

The RT-OPS system uses barcode and mobile computer technology to capture data.
